How does persistent cart and wishlist syncing work?
Whenever a customer adds items to their cart or wishlist, the app securely saves a snapshot linked to their customer account or a unique guest identifier. When they return on the same or another device, their cart and wishlist are automatically restored, providing a seamless shopping experience.
Does this work for guests who aren't logged in?
Yes. Guest carts and wishlists are tracked using a secure device identifier, so they persist across sessions on the same browser. Full cross-device sync requires the customer to be logged in, since that's the only reliable way to link activity across devices.
Will this work with my current theme?
The app works with all Online Store 2.0 themes out of the box. For older vintage themes, our wishlist button snippet may need to be added manually to product and collection templates, our setup guide walks through this step by step.
What happens to saved carts and wishlists if I uninstall the app?
Cart and wishlist data is retained for 30 days after uninstalling, in case you reinstall. After 30 days, all stored data is permanently deleted from our servers in line with our data retention policy.
Will this slow down my storefront?
No. Wishlist and cart data loads asynchronously after your page's core content renders, so it doesn't block or delay your Core Web Vitals scores. The app is optimized for performance using lightweight scripts, asynchronous loading, and efficient API requests to minimize any impact on your store speed.
Does the app support multi-currency and multi-language stores?
Yes. Saved carts respect the customer's selected market, currency, and language automatically, using the same localization Shopify already applies to your storefront.
Is customer data handled in a GDPR-compliant way?
Yes. We only store the minimum data needed to restore a cart or wishlist, and we honor Shopify's standard customer data request and redaction webhooks automatically.
What happens to my data if I cancel my paid plan?
Your existing saved carts and wishlists remain intact. If the free trial ends without an active plan, syncing pauses until you resubscribe, but no data is lost.
Can customers access their cart and wishlist across multiple devices?
Yes. Logged-in customers can access the same cart and wishlist across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. Guest users can continue shopping on the same browser using their secure device identifier.
Do I need coding knowledge to use this app?
No. Most stores can install and configure the app without writing any code. Detailed setup guides are also available if additional customization is required.
Can I customize the wishlist button and icon?
Yes. You can customize the wishlist icon, labels, placement, and styling to match your store's branding and theme.
Does the app work with Shopify customer accounts?
